Vacuum Pressure Impregnated (VPI) Dry Type Transformers
URJA is recognized as a leading Vacuum Pressure Impregnated (VPI) dry type transformer manufacturer, supplier and exporter from India. We manufacture VPI dry type three phase distribution transformers.
A vacuum pressure impregnated dry type transformer has an iron core, vacuum pressure resin impregnated high voltage windings and low voltage windings. The low voltage winding is constructed with conductors. Dupond nomex insulating material includes an apparatus to secure the windings in place during a vacuum and pressure resin impregnation process. VPI transformers are used in moisture prone areas.
The primary and secondary windings are impregnated with Class H polyester resin which can withstand hot spot temperature rise upto 180 Degrees Celsius and maximum winding temperature upto 220 Degrees Celcius. The coil exhibits high short circuit protection due to the tightly bond conductors comparable to completely resin encased moulded transformers at a substantially reduced cost.
In VPI we can physically see the winding in the event of opening of enclosure door. Thus VPI provides a better chance for repairing in case there is some winding fault as the resin does not solidify. Vacuum Pressure Impregnated transformers are environmental friendly since they eliminate the risk of groundwater contamination caused by oil immersed transformer during oil leakage and oil pilferage. Moreover due to usage Class H insulating epoxy resin, the risk of fire is also avoided.
Enclosure Degree of Protection for VPI is IP55 and applicable standards for VPI are IEC 60076-11, IS 11171, BS and CE.
Our VPI Manufacturing range is upto 3.5 MVA, 33 kV and are air cooled (AN)
These transformers are specifically used in distribution network for feeding basements or stilts of high-rise buildings, air ports, stadium, hotels, shopping malls, chemical & refinery plants.
Application in following industries :
Chemical, Pharmaceuticals, Steel, Textile, Engineering, Plastic, Cement, Refineries, Mining, Captive Power Projects, Hydro Power Projects, Wind Mill Farms, Construction Houses, Pharma, Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, Automobile.
